It’s been a while! – {Toronto Wedding Photographer}

…About 4 years to be exact!

I was planning to visit a good wedding industry friend in the hospital this week and I wanted to make something for her to brighten her spirits and keep her strong and motivated to get better.

This gift had to be heart-felt and full of love, so I decided to dust off my watercolour paints and break out the brushes…painting has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. I find that photography is more of an instant gratification and painting is a far more lengthy process…so it’s been “shelved” for a while. I ended up painting a little Australian Beach scene (Whitehaven beach to be exact) because my friend was supposed to be on a plane heading there when she ended up in hospital instead.

I wasn’t sure what I’d end up with as a final product but from my friend’s reaction: “I’m overwhelmed and will cherish this forever” I think I might have to make some time to do some more painting in the future. It can be tough with your own business and 2 little kiddies to find time to paint (hence the 4 year dry spell) but it feels great to make others happy with something that started off as just a blank piece of paper.
