From the brooch bouquets and custom boutonnieres by The Bouquet House to the vintage button inspired cake to the exquisite wallpaper-covered guest book, every single detail is infused with this couple’s personality. From Et Lofte Events… Fiorina and Mark are a sweet couple who love all things vintage and wanted to personalize their wedding day with some amazing vintage touches. Their ceremony took place at Arta Gallery and the reception was at Archeo Restaurant in the historic “Distillery District” in Toronto. The wedding colours were pale yellow, silver and white. They had The Bouquet House make a custom brooch bouquet for Fiorina, and Mark had a custom boutonniere which incorporated his late father’s bracelet. Fiorina’s father and brother had custom boutonnieres made with real shell casings to reflect their love of going hunting. The couple had their wedding invitations custom designed to mimic the look of a book (they both love books and Fiorina works in the book industry) — they were even printed on book cover material with raised ink. Their guest book was made with wallpaper, and the card box was actually a butterfly cage. The couple and I spent months searching for and collecting vintage pop bottle crates, tobacco canisters and coffee tins. The buttons on the cake were made to replicate real vintage buttons. Fiorina and Mark spent months making the homemade jams from scratch to be given out to guests as their favours. The wedding also featured a halo halo bar — halo halo is to the Philippines what ice cream is to us (it’s made with shaved ice, condensed milk, coconut, tapioca, corn, beans, leche flan, etc.).
