Their beautiful Vineland Estates Winery wedding began early in the morning when I arrived at the house where Christa was getting ready. When I saw beautiful Christa having her hair done (you look amazing as a brunette by the way) and then this totally gorgeous Pronovias gown that was waiting in the closet – I knew it was going to be an amazing day !

Dinah & Nick’s cute little son (also the ring bearer) stole the show whenever he walked up to the guests to proudly show them how well he could snap the ring box shut! The rain was off and on and then just after dinner the skies finally opened up to reveal a spectacular pink & orange sunset as the sun slowly dropped over the lush green hills.

This was funny when Dinah couldn’t fit the ring on Nick’s finger, it probably didn’t help that the windows of the church didn’t open or have air-conditioning…

Where do I begin with Jennifer and Richard’s heart-felt wedding?

They were planning to get married in 2011 but when Jennifer’s Father underwent sudden heart surgery in the winter they decided to have the wedding sooner than later – to May 2010. This beautiful and warm-hearted couple have a super cute 6-month old daughter named Leah who played a large part in the wedding day with her pink rose crown and puffy pink dress, she was the only girl in the room who got more attention than her Mother – The Bride!

The civil ceremony took place at Toronto City Hall, with over 35 family and friends in attendance to witness the festivities. Then we headed over to Nathan Phillips Square and Osgoode Hall for some photos and then off to Pickering to Jennifer’s parents house for the reception. The weather, food and company was amazing – you could seriously feel the love in the air.

How gorgeous is Jennifer? I still can’t believe she just had a baby recently!

So much time and effort is put into the lengthy wedding planning process…”do the flowers coordinate with the napkins, will I be wearing heels or flats?”

I completely understand, as I too was a bride many years ago.

This is just a little piece of advice when discussing your photography vision with your Photographer for your wedding day. Ask them to try to capture all of the little details as well as the big ones. One regret that I had was that I never had any photos of my shoes, close up of the rings, the place settings, etc.

I guess at the time it didn’t really matter because it was the people that were important, but as my 7th wedding anniversary approaches in June, I think to myself that it would have been great to have those detail shots to show my daughters and to be able to remember them better with images.

The September weather was perfect, the sky was sunny and lots of white fluffy clouds…just right for a fall wedding! Michelle and Ryan were married at the amazingly beautiful Paletta Mansion in Burlington (it’s right on Lake Ontario, if you are planning a wedding – seriously check it out!).
